Anne Lewis Quartet

Please join me for an evening of jazz classics –  songs by Cole Porter, Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Rodgers and Hart , and more. Vocals, piano, double bass and for the first time – saxophone!

I will be performing with Jean Pierre (JP) Allain on piano, Tom Denison on double bass and Vince Rimbach on tenor and soprano sax. JP Allain has established himself as one of Ottawa’s favourite jazz pianist / arrangers. He has led many ensembles in jazz festivals across Canada including Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and Festival Franco-Ontarien.  Tom Denison, best known as a multi-instrumentalist (bass and drums) has performed with Mel Tormé, Kenny Davern and the Smothers brothers to name a few.  Jazz saxophonist Vince Rimbach is well known for his “confident, fluid and distinctive voice.” Some of his recording and performing credits include:  The Temptations, Tomson Highway, Paticia Cano, Clark Terry, Bill Watrous, and The Artie Shaw Band.
