About

Anne Lewis

Since the early 1990’s, Anne’s joy of music has drawn her into composing, singing and performing throughout Ontario and Canada. As a vocalist, Anne’s interpretations of jazz standards are uniquely delivered with insight, passion and poise.  As a songwriter, she is most at home with her piano – singing contemporary songs about the experiences that have shaped her life.

In collaboration with accomplished musicians, Anne has performed at the TD  Ottawa and Montreal Jazz Festivals; headlined at concerts at the National Arts Centre (NAC),  Centrepointe and Great Canadian Theatres in Ottawa; telethons for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)and the Ottawa Heart Institute; celebration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations in Ottawa; music festival halls, and numerous private corporate events.

Anne has been particularly inspired by the benefit concerts and fundraisers she has supported, such as, The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and The Canadian Cancer Society.   Anne was honoured to have written and performed the theme song for the 75th anniversary of the CNIB.

Anne has released 4 albums of her original music:  Trees (2021); Expressions (2018); I Want to Know (1995 – Anne Wagner); and Eagle’s Landing (1993 – Anne Wagner).  In addition, she has recorded many jazz classics live in concert and in the studio.

Anne is currently performing at various jazz and blues venues and at public and private events in Rideau Lakes and the Ottawa and Kingston regions.
